Dementia and Depression 

This workshop provides participants with an awareness and understanding of the relationship between dementia and depression. Participants will also how to identify the symptoms of depression for a person living and strategies to improve the individual’s overall wellbeing.


  • Gain an understanding of the clinical significance of depression and the importance of a correct and timely diagnosis
  • Use an investigative approach to identify and manage depression
  • Learn how to apply strategies for managing the associated behaviours linked to depression for improving quality of life for people with dementia

DURATION: 2 hours

PARTICIPANTS: This session is for care workers, Enrolled Nurses and Registered Nurses and other allied health professionals.
