Program Purpose and Overview

This workshop provides a learning environment for participants to examine their own attitudes and responses to the changed behaviours in people with dementia.  It provides tools and strategies to better understand the person and meet their changing needs and progressive cognitive impairment.

Benefits and Outcomes for Participants

Attendees will:

  •    Identify the correlation between brain function and dementia
  •    Examine attitudes around changed behaviour in people with dementia
  •    Use two models as an investigative approach for problem solving
  •    Apply strategies to respond to changed behaviours to improve the quality of life for people with dementia

Duration: 2 to 3 hours (varies depending on requirements)
