Responding to Changed Behaviours

This interactive workshop provides a learning environment for staff to examine their attitudes to changed behaviours in people with dementia.  It gives tools to better understand the person and strategies to meet their changing needs and progressive cognitive impairment.

ATTENDEES WILL:

  •    Identify the correlation between brain function and dementia
  •    Examine attitudes around changed behaviour in people with dementia
  •    Use two models as an investigative approach for problem solving
  •    Apply strategies to respond to changed behaviours to improve the quality of life for people with dementia

DURATION: 3 hours

PARTICIPANTS: This session is for care workers, Enrolled Nurses and Registered Nurses and other allied health professionals.
